position. Takes stock manual pitman arm [not included] has ¾ DD steering shaft end [not splined]

[connection to column not included & will vary according to your application]. The stock steering shaft on

column will need to be modified as well as the column itself unless a special tilt column is ordered.

Takes O-ring style hoses. An economical alternative to the Concept One without having to

use the foreign made box.

Upper Steering Shaft, for use with rag joint or other couplers when stock column is to be retained 31" long with 3/4-36 splines on steering box end

 

 

Tech Note: If you are using a Stock Column with a Floor Shift use M-990008 Steering Wheel Shaft & 10-B990021 Rag Joint.

You will have to shorten column as follows; Remove column from car. Remove shift handle & spring & neutral switch if so

equipped. Remove 3 bolts on bottom of column that hold bottom bushing in place. Slide the bushing, spring & shift tube

from the column. Mark new location for 3 bottom bushing bolt holes 3-1/2” up from the center of the old ones, keep

same alignment, center punch & drill. Shorten outer column 2-3/4” & shift tube 4” & glue shift tube felt washer to bottom

of remaining tube. Reinstall column. It will be just long enough to fit into firewall bracket.
