TECH Note; Pump Kits

Pump Sets are designed to run standard ‘V’ belts run in the 3rd belt groove (this is the groove furthest

from engine). If you have a crank balancer with riveted pulley you’ll need to change to later model

balancer. All kits work with AC.

3/4-30 Splined Steering boxes: 605, Concept 1, Mid Shaft Manual 3/4 dia. with 30 splines

3/4-36 Splined Steering boxes: Short Shaft Manual & 60's GM boxes. 3/4 dia. with 36 splines

3/4 DD              3/4" diameter shaft with flats on 2 opposite sides, this can be made from a round shaft by grinding

                          in the flats

1" DD                 1" diameter shaft with flats on 2 opposite sides, many custom steering columns such as IDIDIT OR CJ

                          RODS.

17mm DD         Many GM Rack & Pinions.

1"-48 Splined   Many 60's GM Steering Column Ends. 1" dia. with 48 splines

                                                               Rag Joints

Do not have to be welded.

Carefully grind 2 flat spots on either side of round steering shaft to fit in Double D end. Sold each.
